Keeping a food diary for a week before your appointment is
very helpful, as this gives a clearer picture into your current
diet and what changes need to be made.
Together, you will work out a game plan to lose weight
healthily and for the long term. It will be a plan tailored to your
lifestyle and your personal diet preferences.
Your nurse at the GP surgery should also offer you regular
follow-up appointments, every 2 weeks to a month, to
monitor your weight loss and progress.
